For the last peer review, I was assigned to the business of Tyrell Johnstone (www.tyrelljohnstone.com).
After reading his business plan and navigating through his website, it’s obvious that his goal is to create
The one concern I have surrounds the prices of each package. As a customer, I would prefer to have arranged transportation to and from the destinations included as part of the package. Another extremely important cost would be that of liability insurance coverage. If something unfortunate were to happen while on the tour, it’s essential that the legalities of the situation are sorted out. The package costs are obviously in the ballpark and a ‘guestimate’, so I can understand why these aren’t figured out. Overall, I’d definitely be interested in being a customer of Tyrell’s!
In last week’s peer review, the following issues were pointed out:
- The social media hyperlinks at the bottom of his website direct to the profiles of Wix, not his own.
- Because his URL is his name, it doesn’t fit the brand of the business, Sea to Sky Adventure Tours
- There are no social media accounts dedicated to his business.
As of today, he has yet to address these challenges. As for my feedback, I was confused when I saw “Tours” and “Adventures” as separate menu items. Without clicking them at first, I thought that the contents within each menu were duplicated. I then realized after clicking each that “Adventures” is dedicated more towards his personal experiences – more blog-style. It would definitely help is he either renamed the
Another very minor adjustment I’d suggest is adjusting his logo on the top left-hand side of the website. It’s a minor design flaw but important because it’s almost touching the edge of the page.
Overall, I’m very intrigued by Tyrell’s business. If the logistics of each package were more refined, I’d definitely be interested in being a customer of his in the future! He looks like a very talented photographer and I can see his passion through the business model and his portfolio.
